Some Like It Hoth
Synopsis
Before you watch
Some Like It Hoth aired on April 15, 2009. The title mashes up the film Some Like It Hot with Hoth, the ice planet from The Empire Strikes Back. Jack Bender directed, and Melinda Hsu Taylor and Greggory Nations wrote it.
Where things stand: the Smoke Monster has judged Ben, and the group in 1977 is still holding its cover together. In the present, the Oceanic Six are back on the Island.
This is the only episode with Miles as the main focus. It reveals his backstory and his connection to the Island. Miles has been a dry, sarcastic presence since the freighter team arrived, and he has kept almost everything about himself to himself. The title is a joke, and so is a good deal of the episode. It is a welcome lighter hour before the season heads into its end run.
