Lost on Oʻahu: the filming locations
Lost was filmed almost entirely on Oʻahu, in Hawaii. Its North Shore beaches, windward valleys and Honolulu streets stood in for the Island and for cities around the world. This map gathers 44 real places you can find today, with photos, notes on how to visit them and the season where each one first turns up.
The famous ones

Search only looks inside scenes you have already seen, so it cannot spoil a later episode.
Visiting respectfully
- Kualoa Ranch is private land. Its valleys, bunker and fishpond are only open on the ranch’s own paid tours.
- Red pins are private property. Look from the public road or beach, and don’t go in, however close it looks.
- YMCA Camp Erdman is a working children’s camp: check in at the office first, and give campers their space.
- Hawaiʻi’s beaches are public up to the vegetation line, but the land behind them often isn’t. Use marked access paths, and keep well back from resting turtles and seals.
