Synopsis

Before you watch

There’s No Place Like Home (Part 1) aired on May 15, 2008, the opening of a three-part season finale. Parts 2 and 3 aired together two weeks later as a two-hour finale. Stephen Williams directed this part, and Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof wrote all three.

Where things stand: Locke has gone looking for instructions at a cabin in the jungle, and we have seen his destiny from birth. Jack needed emergency surgery, the mercenaries attacked the Barracks, and Kate has been on trial in the future.

The Oceanic Six prepare to leave, and their cover story is established. The title quotes Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz, the same book that gave the third season The Man Behind the Curtain. The backstory is spread across five people this time. Plan to watch all three parts close together.
