The Moth
Synopsis
Before you watch
The Moth aired on November 3, 2004. Jennifer Johnson wrote it with Paul Dini, best known for Batman: The Animated Series, and Jack Bender directed.
Where things stand: the camp is splitting over whether to stay on the beach or move inland to the caves, where there is fresh water. Sun has surprised people, and Charlie has been looking less and less steady since the crash.
This is Charlie’s hour, and the setup is plain: he is fighting an addiction, and Jack ends up trapped when a cave collapses. Off-Island, the crew filmed at the Cathedral of St. Andrew in downtown Honolulu, the Episcopal cathedral founded by King Kamehameha IV and Queen Emma, with a wall of stained glass at its west end. The official magazine kept coming back to Charlie for years, and this is the hour that made fans care about him.
