The Man from Tallahassee

CentricJohn Locke

Synopsis

Before you watch

The Man from Tallahassee aired on March 21, 2007. Jack Bender directed, and Drew Goddard and Jeff Pinkner wrote it.

Where things stand: Claire has sent her rescue message and learned something about her family. Sayid’s group found the Flame station and its occupant, and Hurley has his van running. Locke has kept quiet about his life before the crash since Walkabout.

This is the episode that fills that in: Locke confronts Ben at the Barracks, and the origin of his paralysis is revealed. It is Locke’s second episode of the season, after Further Instructions. Some of the Island scenes were filmed at Mōliʻi Fishpond on Kualoa Ranch, an ancient Hawaiian walled fishpond still worked by the ranch today. Locke and Ben have been circling each other for a long time, and this is where they finally meet head on.
