Par Avion aired on March 14, 2007. Paul Edwards directed, and Christina M. Kim wrote it with Jordan Rosenberg, whose only Lost credit this is. The title is French for by airmail.

Where things stand: Sayid and the others have found the Flame station and its occupant. Hurley got his DHARMA van running, Jack’s tattoos were explained, and the camp is finding out there is more to the Island than anyone thought.

This is Claire’s episode: she comes up with a plan to send a rescue message, and a family connection is revealed. Claire recovered memories of her kidnapping back in Maternity Leave, and she has been raising a baby on the Island ever since. Emilie de Ravin later talked about this episode with the official magazine. It is Paul Edwards’s fourth episode as director.
