Further Instructions
Synopsis
Before you watch
Further Instructions aired on October 18, 2006. Stephen Williams directed his tenth episode of the show, and Carlton Cuse wrote it with Elizabeth Sarnoff.
Where things stand: Jack, Kate and Sawyer are prisoners of the Others, who are putting them to work. Sun and Jin have just faced their own test out on the sailboat. Back at camp, nobody has had a good look at Locke since the second season ended.
This is Locke’s episode, and it begins with him waking after the implosion, unable to speak, before he goes on a vision quest. It is the first time the survivors at camp get the spotlight this season. Williams talked about this episode in a 2007 interview with the official magazine, which also ran two photo features from the shoot. Locke has always believed the Island had plans for him. This is where he goes looking for them.
