Dave
Synopsis
Before you watch
Dave aired on April 5, 2006. Jack Bender directed, and Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz wrote it, later describing at a Writers Guild panel how they built it.
Where things stand: Locke was trapped in the Hatch during a lockdown, and a hidden map has been revealed. Henry Gale’s story has been checked, and the camp is still arguing about what to do with him.
This is Hurley’s third episode as the focus, after Numbers and Everybody Hates Hugo. He sees an old friend from the mental institution, and reality is questioned. Hurley has been the warmest person in camp from the first day, and the show has rarely let him be anything else. This is the episode that asks what all that cheerfulness has been holding in. It is a good one to watch with someone who already loves Hurley.
