Fire + Water
Synopsis
Before you watch
Fire + Water aired on January 25, 2006. Jack Bender directed, and Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz wrote it.
Where things stand: Michael has run off, Jack led a search party after him, and the Others drew a line. The camp is more wary than it has been all season, and Claire is raising her baby with half the Island looking out for them.
This is Charlie’s fourth episode at the centre, after Pilot (Part 2), The Moth and Homecoming. He has disturbing visions about Aaron, and his rockstar past is explored. The making of this hour is unusually well documented: the second-season DVD set needed a seventh disc for its extras, including a half-hour documentary that follows this episode from the writers’ room through the Hawaiʻi shoot to post-production. If you like how television gets made, watch that afterwards.
