...In Translation

...In Translation aired on February 23, 2005. Tucker Gates directed, and Javier Grillo-Marxuach wrote it with Leonard Dick, in Dick’s first of six scripts for the show.

Where things stand: Michael has been building a raft to get off the Island. Sun has been quietly finding her own place in camp, and the distance between her and Jin is hard to miss. Sawyer has just had his second episode.

This is Jin’s first episode as the focus, and it shows his side of his marriage to Sun, which makes it a companion to House of the Rising Sun. Years later the official magazine ran the two together in a single photo feature. Off-Island scenes were filmed at First Hawaiian Center, the blue-glass tower on Bishop Street that is the tallest building in downtown Honolulu. The raft is sabotaged, too.
