Outlaws

Outlaws aired on February 16, 2005. Jack Bender directed, and this is the first Lost script by Drew Goddard, who came from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel and Alias and went on to write nine episodes of the show.

Where things stand: Claire is back but remembers nothing, and the camp is bracing for Ethan to come back. Sawyer has been getting a little less hated since Confidence Man, though he works hard to stop that.

This is Sawyer’s second episode: a boar seems to have it in for him, and a drinking game brings out secrets. Off-Island, the crew filmed at Macky’s Shrimp Truck near Haleʻiwa on the North Shore. The editor, Stephen Semel, won an American Cinema Editors award for cutting this episode. Goddard later told the official magazine about writing comedy on a dark show, and this is where you see it first.
