Synopsis
Before you watch
Dr. Linus aired on March 9, 2010. Mario Van Peebles, the actor and filmmaker, came in as a guest to direct his only episode of the show, and Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz wrote it.
Where things stand: the Man in Black has made his move at the Temple, and Sayid has faced his choice. Jack and Hurley have found a lighthouse, and the flash-sideways keeps showing the survivors living very different lives off the Island.
Ben faces judgment from Ilana, and his flash-sideways shows a different man. The official magazine visited the shoot for this episode on day three of eight on the North Shore, while Jack Bender ran a second unit reshooting scenes from the season’s first three episodes. Horowitz, usually at the writers’ offices in Burbank, flew out to produce on set. Michael Emerson has had some of the show’s best material since the second season, and this is his hour.
