All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues

All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues aired on December 8, 2004, the last new episode before a four-week holiday break. It was the episode viewers had to sit on over Christmas.

Where things stand: Claire has been having disturbing dreams, and a stranger has been discovered among the survivors. The rest of the setup is simple: survivors have been taken, and Jack and Kate go looking for them.

It is directed by Stephen Williams, the first of his 26 episodes, second only to Jack Bender. Javier Grillo-Marxuach wrote it. Jungle scenes were filmed near Mānoa Falls, a tall, thin waterfall at the top of Mānoa Valley reached by a short trail through dense, dripping rainforest. Williams looked back on this episode in a 2007 interview with the official magazine. The title promises a Jack episode, and a major discovery underground.
