Raised by Another

Raised by Another aired on December 1, 2004, after a two-week gap for Thanksgiving. Marita Grabiak directed it, the only woman to direct an episode in the first season, and Lynne E. Litt wrote it. It is the only Lost credit for each of them.

Where things stand: Sayid has come back from the jungle having found the woman behind the distress signal, and the camp has to take in what that means. Claire, who was heavily pregnant when the plane went down, is getting closer to her due date with no doctor except Jack and no hospital at all.

This is Claire’s first episode, with disturbing dreams and a stranger discovered among the survivors. The official magazine printed script pages and set photos from this episode in its second issue. It is a good one to watch with someone, because you will want to talk about it afterwards.
