The Incident (Part 2) is the second hour of the finale night of May 13, 2009, and the end of the fifth season. Jack Bender directed it, and Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof wrote it.
Where things stand: the finale has begun, and Jacob has finally been seen. Jack is committed to Daniel’s plan, and Locke leads the Others.
This hour promises an explosive conclusion and multiple shocks in rapid succession, and that is all you should know going in. The final season did not begin until February 2, 2010, so the first audience waited almost nine months to see what came next. You do not have to.
