The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham
Synopsis
Before you watch
The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham aired on February 25, 2009. Jack Bender directed, and Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof wrote it. Jeremy Bentham was an English philosopher, and the show has named people after philosophers since the first season.
Where things stand: the Oceanic Six have found a way back to the Island. A man called Jeremy Bentham was identified at the end of the fourth season, and Locke left the Island not long ago.
This is Locke’s first episode as the main focus since Cabin Fever: the hour follows his journey off the Island and how it ended. The editor, Christopher Nelson, said his first cut of this episode ran 25 to 26 minutes too long, which tells you how much story was squeezed into it. Take it slowly, and give yourself a minute when it ends.
