Through the Looking Glass (Part 1)

Synopsis

Before you watch

Through the Looking Glass (Part 1) aired on May 23, 2007, the first half of a two-hour season finale. Jack Bender directed both parts, and Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof wrote them. The title comes from the Lewis Carroll book that followed Alice in Wonderland.

Where things stand: Charlie is preparing for a dangerous mission and has written down his greatest moments. Ben took Locke to meet someone, and Juliet is living among the survivors.

Here is how it is set up: the survivors make their stand against the Others, and Charlie enters the Looking Glass. It is Jack’s episode at the centre, the third time this season. The survivors have been on the back foot since the Others first took Jack, Kate and Sawyer, and this is where they stop running. Watch both parts back to back if you can. They were made to be seen as one long night.
