The End (Part 2)
Synopsis
Before you watch
The End (Part 2) is the second half of the series finale, which aired on Sunday, May 23, 2010, and the last of 121 episodes. Jack Bender directed, and Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof wrote it.
Where things stand: the finale began by bringing every thread together. Jacob has explained why they were chosen, a new protector has been named, and the flash-sideways has spent the season pulling familiar people towards each other.
The episode borrows a line the show has used before: everything that happened, happened. We will not say anything else. Lindelof wrote 45 episodes and Cuse 39, more than anyone else on the show, and they wrote this one together. If you have come this far without spoilers, you have done something hard, and you have earned this hour exactly as it is. When it is over, every page on this site opens up, and the whole story is here for you whenever you want it.
