Synopsis
Before you watch
Everybody Loves Hugo aired on April 13, 2010. Dan Attias directed, his first episode since Numbers in the first season, and Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz wrote it.
Where things stand: Desmond has been put through a massive electromagnetic event, and something has woken up in the flash-sideways. Widmore’s package is on the Island, Jin and Sun are still apart, and the camps on the Island are starting to line up against each other.
This is Hurley’s episode: he steps into a leadership role while Desmond acts with purpose in the flash-sideways. Hurley leading anything is new, which is part of the appeal. Off-Island, the crew filmed at Ala Moana Beach Park, the long city beach park with a protected swimming lagoon between Waikīkī and downtown Honolulu. The title plays on the old sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, which suits the show’s warmest character.
