My husband kept trying to cover my eyes...and was yelling at the TV, "Why doesn't he have a shirt on?!!!" This was obviously a very carefully thought through costume decision that probably drew in some non-LOST female viewers. <BR/><BR/>On subject now...I'm not unhappy with the time travel premise. It's better than ALIENS!!! Maybe time travel has been done to death, however I think the way they've presented it is brilliant. They waited 4 whole years to solidify this idea. I mean you'd never know there was time travel involved in the first two seasons, and in 3 and 4, it was only really a theory by severe Lost nerds. Also, I think a lot of the time travel references people are citing are from cult films and books, to be fair, Lost is very mainstream, so I think it's pretty new to a large portion of their audience. <BR/><BR/>2. You are wrong, time travel is completely possible. I have time traveled. I was born in the year 2037 and I came back just to watch Lost and write this blog.<BR/><BR/>3. But you get the point. I know we're supposed to be able to suspend belief for fiction, and dive into the story and enjoy the experience -- and I do, I do.. Lost is the shizzle, and all that. But damnit Gina, time travel is untenable. Adherents have misunderstood the science. I can say that not because I understand the science, but because we can know that it's impossible philosophically. But that's a long conversation.<BR/><BR/>Nevertheless, the show is awesome, and I'm glad it's back on again. And I am a little disappointed that they did what everyone expected and invoked time travel but hey, I'm hopeful they've thought of some way to make the old paradoxes more interesting.
