The sixth season was supposed to be 17 hours total, but they increased that by one hour. Boy oh boy! Well… we'll take what we can get right? Come next May we'll all be out of a blog. So there will be 16 episodes— a two-hour premiere and a two-hour finale.

Not Lost, but Lost-related
So how exactly are we supposed to fill the time between seasons? You could always read Doc Jensen's overly thought-out theories at Entertainment Weekly, but that's only a few hours a week.
Fortunately, there are a few outlets...just need to know where to find them.
Hot on the heels of Ace of Cakes' episode where they made a cake for Lost's 100th episode, Bravo's Top Chef Masters did a Lost-themed challenge on Wednesday night's episode.
The four chefs had to create that would be appropriate to be served on The Island, using meats that would be found on a tropical island (fish, seafood, boar) and canned and preserved ingredients off a Dharma-approved list. The guest judges were Team Darlton and the entire writing staff of Lost. Niiice.
I won't spoil the results, but unlike the regular Top Chef, these are really good, award-winning chefs competing for charity. Bravo replays their episode all the time, so just search for it on your DVR. I think it was called "The Lost Supper" (heh heh).
The other option, though not as entertaining, is this collection of Lost-themed videos that are on YouTube right now. They answer the age-old question, "What if Lost were a 1990s sitcom?"
One warning: The Friends one is not very good at all. The rest of them are pretty well-done, particularly if you were obsessed with ABC's Friday night lineup back then. Look for lots of footage of Charlie and Hurley, particularly the golf course episode.

OK, now that's just wrong...
Supposedly, the mystery about Charlie's appearance in that ABC promo is solved, and it's a lot less intriguing than we thought.
Michael Ausiello posted a item Friday night that said he talked with the people at ABC and the reason why Charlie is in the ABC promo is...
...he's joining the cast of another ABC show.
Ausiello says he's been sworn to secrecy on which show it is, but it's an hour-long drama and the network wants it be a huge surprise when it's revealed.
Which is all well and good, except . . . what on earth did they think was going to happen by putting him in a network promotional video at least two months before any of these new series are going to air? If they wanted it to be a secret, then they shouldn't have had him in the video, but that's just me.
My default theory, until I'm proven wrong, is that he's still coming back to Lost, and this is all just a smokescreen (get it?) to keep the fans going during the next six months.

Promo with Charlie!!
Natalee found the video of the ABC 2009/2010 season with Charlie!! (NOTE: Don't miss his line, it's totally essential!!)
It's a Trade Off, I Suppose…
While trying to find the ABC promo with Charlie, I was saddened to discover that ABC has a new show called, "V", starring none other than Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet)… You know what that means, she's not a regular in season 6. I'm bummed out to the max! Hopefully her new show will be awesome!
Our House...
Soooo...ABC's new promo campaign features a bunch of the stars from their shows living in the same house, hence the presence of Jack and Hurley. I've included said video below.
HOWEVER, TV Squad has a post this morning saying there's a new version of the clip that has Charlie playing foosball. Someone asks him, "Aren't you dead?" And his response is...
"I was."
And no, I can't find that video anywhere. But enjoy watching Ty Pennington get his megaphone smashed, along with a mildly suggestive statement from The Nanny.

CLAAAAIIIRRRREEEE!!!!!! *teeny tiny spoiler*
This just in… Claire Littleton (actress Emilie De Ravin) will be returning (as a regular) for the sixth season of Lost! OMG!!! I'm stoked!!!
I don't want to jump the gun or anything, but this fits in nicely with the idea that season 6 will be an alternate season 1 (plus series wrap-up). I'm on pins and needles to hear the magic words "Charlie is back". Yes please.
Here's the full story from EW.com
PS This also makes me think Lost will hold it's status as one of the most ground-breaking shows in the history of tv. Never before has a popular television show killed off main characters with the intent of having them sit-out a season or two. It just makes sense…
Where There's Smoke…
The Onion reported on a great new sitcom, starring none other than: Smokey! Good for a down-time laugh. (Found by Jessica).
