Suckfest. *Update April Fools*

*Big fat spoiler : ( *

Ok, so lately I've been totally annoyed by her, and even said I wouldn't mind if they offed her, but I'm very sad to report that the rumors are true, as of tonight, Kate Austen is gone. The forthcoming summary of tonight's episode, as well as numerous reports of actress Evangeline Lily's newly open schedule (she's been auditioning for pilots) have officially confirmed it (as well as a press release issued today from her publicists).

It's reported that Kate will meet her demise in tonight's episode, "Whatever Happened, Happened" (which also features the back story of what she did with Aaron). I'm slightly devastated. Even though she's been a home-wrecking drama queen lately, I still love Kate! I suppose if I could make it past Charlie's death, I can make it past Kate's— but I don't have to like it! I hope Jules doesn't go all mushy for devastated Jack. This could get messy.

What do you guys think? I think it sucks.

Tonight's Episode: Whatever Happened, Happened *Update: April Fools*

The truth about Aaron is revealed as a result of Kate's mysterious death. Meanwhile Sayid encounters the hostiles and joins their ranks. Guest starring Ian Somerhalder and Maggie Grace.

WTH?!

Tonight's Episode: Whatever Happened, Happened

(The real summary for tonight's episode. April Fools Safe.)
Kate goes to extreme measures to save Ben's life when Jack refuses to help. Meanwhile, Kate begins to tell the truth about the lie in order to protect Aaron.

Tonight at 9 pm on ABC.

A Separate Reality

Per Jonna's Request I am posting my "theory" regarding the book that Little Benny gave Sayid.

Get ready for a sugar coated acid trip! The book was called A Separate Reality... here's the info from wikipedia:

"A Separate Reality is an allegedly non-fictional book written by anthropologist/author Carlos Castaneda in 1971 concerning the events that took place during an apprenticeship he claimed to have served with a self-proclaimed Yaqui Indian Sorcerer, Don Juan Matus, between 1968 and 1971. The authenticity of the book, along with the rest of Castaneda's series, has been a topic of debate since they were published. In the book Castaneda continues his description of his apprenticeship under the tutelage of Don Juan, from which he had withdrawn in 1965. As in his previous book, The Teachings of Don Juan: A Yaqui Way of Knowledge, Castaneda describes the experiences he has with Don Juan while under the influence of the psychotropic plants that Don Juan offered him, peyote (Lophophora williamsii) and a smokable mixture of what Castaneda believed to be, among other plants, dried mushroom of the genus Psilocybe. The main focus of the book centered around Don Juan's attempts at getting Carlos to See, a practice best described as, in Castaneda's own words, "perceiving energy directly as it flows through the universe".The book contains an introduction, an epilogue and two separate parts. Part One, "The Preliminaries of 'Seeing'", describes his re-initiation into the apprenticeship from which he withdrew in late 1965, and also describes his introduction to another brujo (sorcerer) named Don Genaro. Part Two, "The Task of 'Seeing'", elaborates on the mental processes involved with Seeing, and begins with Castaneda realizing that the plants are a necessary tool to arrive at Seeing."

Um hello?! Indian = Tepee? I'm SEEING a parallel here! I'm not sure that this is the last we'll be seeing of creepy tepee man, sorry Jonna. This all seems a little to poignant for me. Click on the links, they offer even more insight.

Also, a side note, did you know there are three ways to spell tepee? teepee, tepee, and tipi? whoa.

Ben Linus is Dirk Dallas?

I had a revelation last night after seeing lil Ben.

Recap: He's Our You

They wanted sympathy for Ben, and I think maybe they got it. Wowsers. That episode went out with a bang (pun slightly intended).

Sayid was Born a Man
That was an interesting bit of back story. I'm getting the feeling that when the writers really want to tell us something about a person, they take us back to their childhood. There are no pretenses and things are what they are. So, is Sayid really a killer or just someone who simply wants to get the job done. A man interested in cutting to the chase?

This reminded me a lot of my other favorite super tough guy, Eko. He took one for his brother too, when they were children in Nigeria and the guerillas wanted Yemi to shoot a man. Eko stepped up to the plate and did it instead.

Are Sayid and Eko just extraordinarily selfless individuals who were both willing to go to extremes to protect their loved ones or did they have deep-rooted killer in them? (I think they're heroes!)

Creepy Has a New Name
In an effort to give Ethan and Ben and run for their money, Oldham came out of nowhere and stole the title of creepiest dude on Lost. His voice gave me the willies!! Also, he lives in a make-shift teepee and acts entirely too calm for someone about to lay down the torture. Bleh. Here's to hoping that's the last we see of him!

The Wink We All Desperately Wanted
(Sidenote) ; )
So after watching Lost with a plethora of individuals over the last two weeks, I've made a fascinating discovery: everyone I know yearned for a wink between Jin and Sayid in the last episode. Is that strange? I kid you not, 4 different people have all seperately mentioned that they were just waiting for a wink and have verbalized it in front of me. I too wanted that wink. Just thought that was funny.

Sayid, What's Your Problem?
You'd think after all his misadventures and the strange things he's seen that Sayid would be a little interested in complying with Sawyer's plan to lay low and blend for a while. I think I blame the writers for this. It just irks me. Sayid is smart and I think he'd have brains enough to trust Sawyer and the gang at least long enough to get some perspective. Anything would be better than a jail cell right?

The Drama Duo
Kate and Jack need to knock it off. I'm noticing more and more just how simple and smooth Sawyer and Juliet's relationship was. Not very Lost-like, I grant you, but a nice change of pace nonetheless. I want those crazy kids to make it! Glancey and Glarey need to just cut it out and give other people a chance at happiness. Juliet can't even cook bacon anymore!

Where'd That Smooth Con Man Go?
Ol' quick-on-his-feet LaFleur is really dropping the ball. Lying and sneaking his way into a cozy top security position and he can't even get Sayid to comply. I was sweating when Sayid was spilling his beans for creepypants mcgoo. Luckily his story is nothing short of outlandish! Close call!

Buy Me a Glass of That $120 Scotch
Sayid, I'm dissappointed that you didn't see through her act. Also, do airlines typically let you take your pals on airplanes in hand cuffs? So she isn't a marshall, she's just someone looking to serve Sayid a slice of payback pie, and really it's all Ben's fault…

Ben is a Liar Liar Pants on Fire (And Much more!)
So, kind of interesting to see Ben lying straight to Sayid's face about the "people" that killed Locke and how bad and scary and powerful they are. That was quite the set up. So, he's bad for sure, right?

Poor Lil' Benny
So what are we to think then? This poor little nerdy guy who's mom died in child birth, exiled to a boring island with his violent, alcoholic dad didn't have a shot at a normal life! He tries to make friends with prisoners by bringing them sandwiches (BTW how very Juliet of him!). Then bam we have our end-of-episode punch in the gut. Maybe I was a little dense tonight, but I didn't really figure it out. I felt like there was something awry, like wrong-doing was just around the corner. I even wondered if Sayid would shoot Jin. When he shot mini Ben I was shocked, but even more than that, I was left wondering what the implications of this could mean!

Obvious Problems
All season long people have been asking what would happen if a character crossed paths with an instance of themselves in another time (Bill and Ted much?) and what happens if an event drastically changes the course of history as we know it? Well, all of those questions were blown away and at the same time magnified when Sayid shot Lil' Benji. Suffice it to say we're all on pins and needles for the how this will play out. Will Ben cease to exist? Will he just die? Will he become a ghosty?

First off, Sayid shot him. Sayid the torturer and hit man for Ben of the future. Sayid who would so shoot to kill. So I will assume the shot was successful and "killed" Ben. Now, with that said, could Ben have been instantly healed? Or perhaps the island protected him. Who knows, but this must have some massive consequence!

My eyes can only stay open for like 1 more minute, so g'night.

Tonight's Episode: He's Our You

Things begin to unravel when one of the survivors goes rogue and takes matters into their own hands -- risking the lives of everyone on the island.

Oh snap!

There WILL be a recap tonight.

Recap: Namaste

Sorry for the delay. I've had an extremely hectic week. I'll try to remember all the important things!

• Piled-high with warm fuzzies.
There were an ample amount of hugs, reunions and painfully longing stares. The rest of this season could be completely cold… I think they're already met their heart-warming quota for the rest of the series!

• Radzinsky.
Ok I confess, when I saw him, I instantly thought he was the numbers guy from Hurley's nut house days. Eh, wrong. However, he is a pre-existing character who I should've noticed. He and Kelvin manned the ultra-isolated, subterranean bachelor pad, known as the Swan Station (before Des washed ashore). He drew the blast-door map, and edited the Swan's orientation film and apparently designed the Swan station itself. Does this mean we'll see the origins of Kelvin soon? Will we find out how and why he's crossed paths with both Sayid and Kate's dad? Was it a whole time-travelling conspiracy or just epic coincidence?!

• Baby Ethan
Egads. If you thought 12 year-old Ben was creepy, meet baby Ethan. So good ol' Horace is Ethan's papa. There's a back story I think we'd all like a little insight on. I know this is fiction, but can you imagine how much Juliet's skin was crawling when she held him?! This raises the question: Why isn't Ethan's last name 'Goodspeed'? Is Amy's last name 'Rom'?

• "Based on your aptitude test, you're a janitor"
Serious role reversal! So Sawyer is the level-headed, big man on campus now. Jack's been seriously cocky and whiney, so it was pretty darn satisfying to see Sawyer in charge, and even more satisfying to see him handed the position of janitor. Who would've thought I'd be rooting for Sawyer and Juliet over Jack and Kate?!

• Pierre Chang
Again we saw the stern mouthpiece of Dharma-past. This time, in his most down-to-earth, everyday, breezy-guy capacity. Forced to do a bit of simpleton work, he signs Jack into the Dharma Initiative. I think it's widely agreed in Lost-dom that Miles is the son of Pierre. Perhaps he isn't, we do know that Miles is now living side-by-side with him in the 70's Dharma Initiative, and of course the last names don't match. I do hope that Pierre's middle name begins with an 'F'. C'mon, that'd be funny.

• The Runway
If you recall, as I did, back in season 3 when Jack, Kate and Sawyer were in captivity on the small island, they were doing grunt work, breaking rocks hauling them around. One of them asks what all of it's for and the reply was "for a runway". This leads me to believe the the Ajira flight landed in present Lost time (2008) or later. I don't know how far the others got on building the runway before all this time flashing madness. It seems to the viewer to have been nearly years, but really, it was only like a week! So, I think that the remnant of Oceanic survivors (Rose and Bernard & co.) may have completed the runway. Who knows. Some of the theories on lostpedia include that Jacob or someone informed the Dharma initiative that a runway would be necessary in the future. Oh and by the way, where are Rose and Bernard?!

• Spooks
I was twitching with pure terror when Sun and Frank were walking up the dock and heard all those old familiar sounds… enormous bending, scraping metal, t-rex footsteps smashing trees, and ahh, the sweet lull of the whispers. In typical fashion, where there are scary noises and mysterious circumstances, there is Smokey and his side-kick Christian Shepard! While I couldn't find any whispers deciphering what I did find is that there is a person seen behind Sun in the abandoned processing center. You can see blonde hair! Was it Claire, or some production assistant (who has undoubtedly been fired) caught in the shot? That whole scene was seriously scary!! I loved it.

I thought it was a pretty good episode.

Professor Linus?

In a recent article with Flagler Magazine, Michael Emerson talks about being an art teacher and magazine illustrator before he become the mega-spooky Benjamin Linus. Can you even imagine having him as an art professor?! The word 'yikes' comes to mind.

Check it out here: Flagler Magazine

Free iTunes Single

Download the free single by Geronimo Jackson, called "Dharma Lady" on iTunes. I haven't listened yet, but I hope it's packed with clues. With it's release date labeled "March 18", I can only imagine we will find their significance or least more about them in tomorrow night's episode, "Namaste" (the greeting oft uttered by Dharma Initiative members and Hanson Foundation workers alike).

For those of you scratching your heads, Geronimo Jackson is a fictitious band that has been strategically implanted (via album covers, song references, and posters) throughout Lost.

Lost without Lost

At the end of last week's episode, "LaFleur", myself and my fellow Lost viewers, were stunned— nay— horrified to hear a three-word-phrase that Lost viewers should never hear. Lost viewers, who patiently wait for 9 months while a massive lump of scenes are slowly and painstakingly pressed into one diamond-like season, should never hear this phrase. Our patience was promised it's reward— one short, but consecutive, rerun-free season. So, we all felt like Naomi with Locke's knife in our backs when we heard, "In Two Weeks".

In Two Weeks?! I'm sorry… did Wednesday dissappear from the week of March 8? Did they change Superbowl Sunday to Superbowl Wednesday and push it into March? What is this about? What is the explanation here? Please don't tell me that Lost, the greatest show to ever be on television, is cowering in fear of the great and powerful feathered-haired Simon Cowell. If such is the case, who wants to hop the next spaceship off of this rock with me?

Explanations welcome.

Recap: LaFleur

Well, first off, I don't think it quite lived up to the hype. That trailer they ran after last week's episode, appeared to be epic, but this episode was just good— not life-changing.

Some Things:

CTU Called…
They want agent Michelle Dessler back. That was cool, I always like when Lost suprises you with a familiar face. I liked her on 24 and was sad when *spoiler alert* they totally offed her in the beginning of season 5. That was dumb. Well, the creative geniuses at Lost seized the opportunity to fill out their rapidly materializing Dharma Initiative.

The Mysterious Mrs. Goodspeed
It appears that a bond was forged between two spouses that were in one way or another, left behind. Amy by the murdered Paul and Horace by the mysteriously absent Olivia. Could it be possible that near the end of "LaFleur's" 3-year-span, that Olivia grabbed her and Horace's daughter, Charlotte, and peaced out for England? After Charlotte spent a fair amount of time learning Korean from Jin and developing an somewhat eery attraction to Faraday, (of course)? This would leave Horace to comfort the deserted Amy, and find himself tormented by the loss of his first wife and their daughter, driven to drunkeness even when he should be happiest?

Juliawyer? Sawyet?
However you say it, I like it. I love how the writer's managed to squash any obvious hints or connections up to tonight's episode. Kate better not ruin this. Someone needs to tell the women no for once! She and Jack need to beat it and continue their twisted, torturous relationship back in the city. Just look how people can flourish without those two drama queens around! PS Ben is not going to like Sawyet.

The Biggest Let-Down
That was a cruel trick. A couple of tricky edits and we were all in an uproar! So the woman with the sack over her head was Amy and they cleverly edited it to appear that Sawyer knew this woman. Lies.

LaFleur
They've made me love all of these broken, pathetic characters, and I can't help but root for them when their lives are looking up. Old theiving, conning Sawyer ate his way to the top of the food chain! Finally, those mad conman skills came in handy.

Cuddly Moment
This week's cuddly moment was brought to you by Juliet and Sawyer and Jin, when Juliet was able to deliver Amy's baby boy, we all got that rare, but familiar warm and fuzzy Lost feeling inside, as though you just drank a bad can of Dharma beer. Discouraged and scarred by her numerous attempts in the present to deliver babies on the island, Juliet was overjoyed to have finally seen a successful birth, and that made everyone happy.

So, What's the Little Fella's Name?
We'd be silly to think this child would be just another person. Surely he has to be someone we've encountered! According to lostpedia this child was born in 1977. Here are some things we should all know about 1977 and Lost:
• In the episode "Maternity Leave", Sawyer can be seen reading the novel "1977".
• Hugo "Hurley" Reyes and Kate Austen were born in 1977
• Sawyer's mother was conned by Anthony Cooper in 1977, and subseqently his parents were killed in 1977

TIRED!

Lost Showdown Results

A few weeks back I posted about ABC's Lost showdown, where viewers could vote— tournament-style— on which Lost moment was the best. I voted and I'm happy to say, the majority was in agreement with me. Charlie's last scene was voted the best. Check out ABC's Lost Showdown to see what other clips rose to the top.
