Farewell to Walt's G-ma…

Ok, so not really Walt's G-ma… that's just the unfortunate character she was pinned to, we all know she's much more like Claire or Sun or now even Penny. We here at guyswherearewe.com would like to say and heart-felt goodbye to our friend Andrea Bundy who is getting off this crazy island and onto her blessed and growing family. It seems like just yesterday that you were announcing your pregnancy on our blog. Here are some shout-outs from the depths of the hatch:

Andrea R - I'm going to miss our long talks about dates, address, pricing, printing, orders and events. See you in another life brutha!

Alena - Protect that baby from the Cylons. We will miss ya!

Holly - Hey Andrea glad you got off the island in time before your baby was due?Bummed to hear dharma initiative kidnapped you for a time. Thankfully you got away! Now you can enjoy LOST from the comfort of your home. Someday you'll have to explain all this LOST stuff to your little boy! I hope he doesn't think we're all crazy! Namaste.

Mark- Now that you quit, you will have a bit more time to spend on the really important stuff, like researching time travel, quantum physics, the origin of the whispers, why the bomb was called jughead, will Faraday save his beloved, is there any link to all of the people named Charles (Widmore, Charlie and Desmond's baby) ... Oh, yeah, and you will have to, of course, spend a little bit of time with your little boy whatever his name is ... Charles?

Jessica - Andrea, Congrats on your baby.. I can't wait to know the name of the lil guy. I will miss you here, but know you will have so much joy being at home with your family. Take Care. Remember to make time for LOST every Wednesday night : )

Alex - Although I am still on the island and you get to go home - you will always be my Puerto Rican constant. Before I met you, my nose would bleed and I would get headaches. Alex Lopez @

So... Thanks

Jonna - The way this island is hopping around through time, who knows, maybe I'll come visit when you when you were 12, or maybe I'll visit your son when he's 63. It's really hard to tell where we'll hop next. I just hope that Lapidigan can fly his chopper to the correct destinations when you're gone. Have fun with your lil guy. Hopefully Ben and the gang can find an easy way back to the island so you can come visit us! We'll miss you!

Dirk - Sorry Andrea, I had a a long paragraph of funny stuff I wrote you, but somehow Jonna deleted it. Anyways, even though you're going to be gone, I hope to at least see you on the blog. And you are still are the only person that I have ever met who shares my same birthday. You and your glorious cookies will be missed!!!

We'll miss you!

Get Your Charlie Fix…

Dre informed me that our dearly departed Charlie Pace AKA Dominic Monaghan will be guest starring on "Chuck" as, surprise surprise, a rock star! This Monday.

Lost is The Bomb

No seriously, an actual bomb. Thanks to Nate for this tip-off.

Visit this wikipedia page on Nuclear Weapon Design.
Scroll approximately halfway until you see this beauty:

It says Swan!! As in the Swan station?! The very station that housed the mysterious "button". Perhaps Desmond was relieving pressure on a leaking enormous power source? I'm going to need a button to relieve the pressure on my head because my brain is about to explode.

Could this be the subtle correlation to the tight eye shots featured at the beginning of every episode? An incredibly distant hint that all this power and mysteriousness sits buried in a bomb (with a distinctly eye-shaped design) in the middle of the island?

I can't handle their brilliance. I really can't.

Post Jughead Thoughts *UPDATED*

Well, that was full of shockers and revelations and brain freezes. So here are a few thoughts that I just don't want to forget…

1. Was the girl with the absolutely atrocious accent Penny's mama? This would explain Faraday's comments that she was somehow inexplicably familiar. Perhaps he couldn't connect his benefactors much older wife with this young lady. (Again I say, HORRIBLE accent.)

2. So it's sounding like Ms. Hawking is definitely Faraday's mother. If she's in LA that matches up nicely with Ben's visit to her (coming straight from Hurley's LA home).

3. So (I need to go back and watch but) I guess when Richard showed lil Locke those items and had him choose one, then acted disappointed, saying lil Locke wasn't what he was looking for, it was simply a cover? He had confirmed what Big Locke said and got the hizzy outta there.

4. Who is Jacob!?!?!?! I guess Widmore doesn't answer to him? Since he apparently once was "in his camp" and now is at odds with one of his chosen leaders: Ben.

5. What is up with Juliette referring to herself as one of the others? Why is she making all these others jokes? Also, she obviously knows how super old Richard is. What else is not telling us? She is "in the know" on the total unbelievable happenings.

6. The enormous power source that Marvin Candle spoke of last episode must've been Faraday's, buried bomb. I guess that sheds some light on why Faraday was undercover as a Dharma worker in that dig site.

7. Desmond and Penny named their kid Charlie. Awwww!

*UPDATED*
8. Locke couldn't kill Widmore… for obvious reasons. Makes sense now… at the time, I wanted to beat Locke up. Did Locke know he couldn't, or did time render him physically unable to pull the trigger?

Thoughts?

Getting Pumped for Jughead

Check out these videos and get pumped for tonight's episode, "Jughead".

Tonight's Episode: Jughead, 9pm on ABC

Desmond goes in search of a woman who could be the key to helping Faraday stop the island's erratic movements through time, and Locke discovers the identity of the unknown forces who have been attacking the survivors.

Sounds intense. Could this woman be both Daniel Faraday's mommy and Ms. Hawking, time traveler and mathematician extraordinaire?

Guess we'll see. Much like "Eggtown", I'm also anxious to know the origin of tonight's title.

Sassy scarf, Des!

Foot Question

Kind of a side note, but what about the whole thing regarding Sawyer's foot? They showed it twice in this episode ("Because You Left / The Lie")... could it possibly have some significance? I mean maybe it goes unnoticed since the fact that he doesn't wear a shirt for half of episode might take precedence. Some connection to the foot statue maybe? I thought we were going to be learning a bit about that statue in an episode to come so it maybe a little far fetched, but I just though it was interesting.

One More Thing…

While re-watching "Because You Left", seeing Dr. Marvin Candle with a baby boy in the 70's, I couldn't but wonder who that lil fella grew up to be. Has to be significant right? Why show him otherwise?

I'm thinking he could be Miles. Perhaps his abilities are a result of exposure to an enormous force at a young age?

What The Ghosts Are Saying

After the season premiere, I feel like I need to watch the entire series again with this solidified idea of short, sporadic time travel in-mind. This could be an explanation for any unusual acts… do they act out-of-character because they've been to/seen the future?

This also adds a new dimension to the "ghosts" of Lost. Darlton have always been ambiguous when answering questions regarding the dead people sightings. They're always conveniently unclear, never giving a concrete answer— are these people dead? Are the people who see them crazy and hallucinating? Well it now seems that the loose outline of an explanation is taking shape. These "ghosts" are possibly past instances of the presently deceased. A concept which frankly makes my head spin.

Let's see what we know about ghosties:
1. They're abnormally calm, cool and collected. They always seem to be on top of things and have just a hint of all-knowingness about them.

2. They're lookin' good. They appear to be restored to their former glory, unscathed with fancy haircuts and clean clothes.

3. They offer mildly cryptic advice. Lately the advice to the Oceanic 6 is paving the way back to the island.

I should note, Claire is an exception to all of these. In her strange appearances, she is at once calm but dirty from a jungle trek and dawning a bandage on her head. In another scene she looks cleaned up but frantic, demanding that Kate not take Aaron back to the island. I guess that makes sense since we don't know whether she's alive, dead or somewhere in between!

Also, I totally just realized that the song "Dream Police" is playing in the convenience store when Hurley is buying his t-shirt. Hmm.

Have you noticed any other ghostly qualities?
Check out lostpedia's page on the ghosties.

Genius Theory (Spoiler)

I just stumbled across this unmistakeably brilliant theory at DocArzt's Blog. It's so obvious, but I didn't even make the connection.

The Island Needs It's Constant!

Of course! It's jumping back and forth through time, just as Desmond did in The Constant! It's the same sort of dislodging! Tapdawg (writer of this theory) lists the possible constants and their likeliness. I personally think it's constant is all the people on 815, The Freighties and The Others. Basically everyone on our strand of time. This doesn't include anyone who came to the island when it was in another time (ie. Yemi, or Richard). We see our 815ers, Juliet and the Freighties all seem to stay on the same path when it skips, whereas Richard dissappears from Locke, as does Yemi's plane. I wonder if Ben would jump with them.

What do you guys think?

I Have Been Waiting For This Moment…

Dre, I love you and hate to do this to you but…

IT'S TIME TRAVEL AND IT'S DA BOMB. (And you know it. For it is time travel that will likely allow your beloved Locke to not be the ultra dead fo-eva Jeremy Bentham.)

Brace yourselves, here comes the violet light… I give you a lawstsome flashback.

Bend It Like Desmond

And a vintage lawstsome graphic:

(PS Our entire February 2008 archive has just become very interesting. Did I go back in time and tell myself what happened, or what?!)

One Song Lost Recap

A music blog I subscribe to, The Late Greats, does this awesome feature called "One Song Lost Recap", where the bloggers choose a single song that they feel captures each episode (after it airs). They'll post the mp3, some photos from the episode and lyrics. It's really clever and fun, and of course, they have superb taste in music. They'll be posting along with season 5 as it airs, but for now, check out their season 4 picks!

Lost Clip Ultimate Showdown!

ABC has setup a really cool Lost clip competition, to determine the all-time best clip from the first 4 seasons. It features an easy to use and view setup, and it's tournament style, so you only ever have to choose between 2 at a time (otherwise that could be insanely difficult). So, if you have some time spare (which I have plenty of today) head over and take part in the voting. (The first one in season one was really hard to decide! What did you vote for?)

For the Ana Lucia Lovers…

No, not really, it's more for us haters… check out these all-too-awesome photos of Michelle Rodriguez serving her community service on the side of a freeway! That's what you get for being a jerk and shooting Shannon— I mean, drunk driving.

Ajira Airways – Now Live

Several days ago the website for Ajira Airways went live. I poked around the site a little and even tried "booking" a flight but apparently they are completely sold out. We'll see what comes of this new LOST teaser website as time goes by. The about section says that new destinations will be added January 21st (which is also the start of season 5).

One thing that's interesting is the middle web banner on the homepage keeps cycling through the weather of various cities that we have talked about before on an older post: Oceanic Flight Connections.

This new airline sounds like it will be pretty interesting:
"Get lost in the world with groundbreaking promotions like Destination: Destiny that keeps your flight destination a mystery until you get there. We’re changing the way people think about travel - this isn’t vacation, this is your life... escaped. Let us deliver your destination by revealing your destiny."
