Recap: Namaste

Sorry for the delay. I've had an extremely hectic week. I'll try to remember all the important things!

• Piled-high with warm fuzzies.
There were an ample amount of hugs, reunions and painfully longing stares. The rest of this season could be completely cold… I think they're already met their heart-warming quota for the rest of the series!

• Radzinsky.
Ok I confess, when I saw him, I instantly thought he was the numbers guy from Hurley's nut house days. Eh, wrong. However, he is a pre-existing character who I should've noticed. He and Kelvin manned the ultra-isolated, subterranean bachelor pad, known as the Swan Station (before Des washed ashore). He drew the blast-door map, and edited the Swan's orientation film and apparently designed the Swan station itself. Does this mean we'll see the origins of Kelvin soon? Will we find out how and why he's crossed paths with both Sayid and Kate's dad? Was it a whole time-travelling conspiracy or just epic coincidence?!

• Baby Ethan
Egads. If you thought 12 year-old Ben was creepy, meet baby Ethan. So good ol' Horace is Ethan's papa. There's a back story I think we'd all like a little insight on. I know this is fiction, but can you imagine how much Juliet's skin was crawling when she held him?! This raises the question: Why isn't Ethan's last name 'Goodspeed'? Is Amy's last name 'Rom'?

• "Based on your aptitude test, you're a janitor"

Serious role reversal! So Sawyer is the level-headed, big man on campus now. Jack's been seriously cocky and whiney, so it was pretty darn satisfying to see Sawyer in charge, and even more satisfying to see him handed the position of janitor. Who would've thought I'd be rooting for Sawyer and Juliet over Jack and Kate?!  

• Pierre Chang

Again we saw the stern mouthpiece of Dharma-past. This time, in his most down-to-earth, everyday, breezy-guy capacity. Forced to do a bit of simpleton work, he signs Jack into the Dharma Initiative. I think it's widely agreed in Lost-dom that Miles is the son of Pierre. Perhaps he isn't, we do know that Miles is now living side-by-side with him in the 70's Dharma Initiative, and of course the last names don't match. I do hope that Pierre's middle name begins with an 'F'. C'mon, that'd be funny.

• The Runway

If you recall, as I did, back in season 3 when Jack, Kate and Sawyer were in captivity on the small island, they were doing grunt work, breaking rocks hauling them around. One of them asks what all of it's for and the reply was "for a runway". This leads me to believe the the Ajira flight landed in present Lost time (2008) or later. I don't know how far the others got on building the runway before all this time flashing madness. It seems to the viewer to have been nearly years, but really, it was only like a week! So, I think that the remnant of Oceanic survivors (Rose and Bernard & co.) may have completed the runway. Who knows. Some of the theories on lostpedia include that Jacob or someone informed the Dharma initiative that a runway would be necessary in the future. Oh and by the way, where are Rose and Bernard?!

• Spooks

I was twitching with pure terror when Sun and Frank were walking up the dock and heard all those old familiar sounds… enormous bending, scraping metal, t-rex footsteps smashing trees, and ahh, the sweet lull of the whispers. In typical fashion, where there are scary noises and mysterious circumstances, there is Smokey and his side-kick Christian Shepard! While I couldn't find any whispers deciphering what I did find is that there is a person seen behind Sun in the abandoned processing center. You can see blonde hair! Was it Claire, or some production assistant (who has undoubtedly been fired) caught in the shot? That whole scene was seriously scary!! I loved it.

I thought it was a pretty good episode.
