Well, Well, Well… Guess We're Right

So, I can't help but say I'm 100% positive that after last night's episode, that Ben is totally evil. Good guys don't try to possess people the way he did. Although I could easily see Trever or Dirk having that attitude towards Juliette, so who knows?

With that said, check out the results of our "Who is the ultimate bad guy?" poll. I think we're spot on. Also, it appears we showed much love for Locke (even though I want to strangle every time he falls for Ben's "oh, one more thing…" trick!)

I disagree, Ben seems bad now but I think he has more good in him than most might think. At least he is the lesser evil out of this whole scheme. Don't count him out just yet.

Steve Jobs would have Locke wrapped around his finger.

In other news, I'm with Dirk. Ben is just so charming.

What stinks is that secular writers are obsessed with what they call, "moral ambiguity". Which often leads to there being no clear-cut 'bad guy' or 'good guy' in their stories. And this is what I find so dissapointing in many TV shows and movies today. You probably feel it to, all you Christians. It's because of our awareness of true good and evil in reality.

Bottom line is that I wouldn't be surprised if, in the end, the 'good guys' and 'bad guys' turn out to be designedly "up to you" (the audience). All of us Christians are sort of on the edge of seats wondering who the bad guy is going to turn out to be, and all of the unbelievers are on the edge of their seats to see who is going to betray who next (and who Kate is going to boink next or again).

Alena asks me who my favorite characters are, and I've said to her several times throughout my catching up with this show that, "you know what, I don't really like any of them too much... they are pretty much all deeply flawed, or have done things prior to coming to the island that are pretty deplorable." Of course, the writers designed it this way for a reason. And it has to do with that moral ambiguity.

too true simon, too true. I have a sneaking suspicion that, although the show in it's entirety may have a satisfying conclusion, it will indeed leave us Christians disappointed.

There have been many things in the show that make us all go "oh! wow! Biblical!" (Mostly stemming from those zany religious characters, like Eko and Charlie the herione addict (and that says it all!), and Jacob). However they never really follow through on those concepts. It seems to be pick and choose, like a lot of people are with religion in general. "Oh, I like that sacrifice concept, redemption, that sounds good too, but that whole turning from your sins and trying to live your life according to this Book here, not so much."

I guess even though all of the characters have had some major issues, we're all hoping a couple pull through and straighten up. We can relate to their humanity, but can any of them relate to our Christianity?
