Damarlton Gives Up Answers

In this article from Entertainment Weekly, producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse answer some questions that are sort of hot-button issues around our office. Most notably, they destroy the myth that the Oceanic 6 have to on the manifest, citing that Ben could've easily changed assumed the identity (an easy feat after the discovery of his evil genius secret costume lair) of a family-less, friend-less passenger (*cough cough* John Locke maybe? *cough*). Enjoy…

Okay, since you brought it up, Damon: Is Ben a member of the Oceanic 6?

''Nothing precludes him from being a member of the Oceanic 6 — other than he wasn't on the plane,'' says Lindelof. ''But he does have a room full of documents and passports. He could have just, you know, done some research and doctored some records and adopted the identity of someone on the plane — someone with no family or friends who would know otherwise. So who's to say he isn't?''

So...when will we know for certain?

''By the end of the seventh episode, the audience will now know who the Oceanic 6 are.''

Hmmmmm this is interesting. But isnt Darlton (Damon & Carlton), known for throwing tricks/fake rumors out there? Cause my only problem with Ben being apart of the Oceanic 6 is he would be immediately shot into the lime light and who ever wants him (Abaddon) would have a much easier time finding him. And since Abaddon's people know what Ben looks like, remember the Polaroid Miles had of Ben, I think tracking down Ben would be much easier now that hes a celebrity.

GP. However, Darlton also will give away solid truths and play it off like a joke. They joked about revealing the truth about the possilbe Kate/Sawyer baby in episode 4 of this season, and lookey there, we discover she baby-napped aaron!

With a name like Dean "Moriarty" on his fake passport, Ben HAS to be the bad guy, a la Professor James Moriarty, arch-nemesis of Sherlock Holmes.

I like where you all are going with the Chronicles of Narnia theories...I was almost losing hope for a good ending. But a LOST land of Narnia would be awesome!
